Let’s talk Easter, baskets, and gifts! I don’t know about you but I’ve found over the last few years I wait until the very last minute to throw together Easter baskets. For some unknown reason it sneaks up on me…maybe it’s the fact that it’s one of the only holidays that changes dates each year. Who knows, but this year I’m determined to be ahead of the game and have everything bought and ready to go the morning of Easter.
Who gets an Easter basket
I think this is a topic that varies with each household and has to be determined by you and your family. At our house, unfortunately for me, kids of all age groups still expect a basket Easter morning. That includes our adult children, who now have children of their own!!
What’s in the basket
With each age group the contents change but I try to make them as equal as possible. It’s not always easy but I come up with an amount I’m comfortable spending and try not to go over that price point.
Infant Gift Guide
I would say infants by far are the easiest to buy for. They either are too young to know whats going on or they’re at an age where getting anything is exciting.
Toddler Girl Gift Guide
How fun are toddler girls to shop for? I love finding all the cute things little girls love to get on Easter morning. It’s such an easy age to shop for and the options are truly endless.
Toddler Boy Gift Guide
Years ago I would have said shopping for young boys was the worst! Not because of the age or the fact that it was a boy. There simply was less options for boys than girls. I feel like stores have come a long way over the past few years in the boy department.
Other Age Groups
Like I said before, in our household we put together baskets for all age groups. With that said, I know a lot of families stick to the youngest in the family. I envy those families more than you know!
Good luck to all the moms & dads out there, and cheers to staying ahead of the game!
If you’re looking for inspo for older age groups, I have a few more gift guides on my gift guide page here.
